Of all states with legal marijuana, Illinois brings in the second-lowest revenue per capita. High tax rates and strict regulatory burdens prevent Illinois from tapping the full potential of marijuana tax revenue.

Soon the pols will be pushing other sources of revenue like prostitution. It’s ALWAYS a revenue problem NEVER a spending one. What other vices have not met their potential that can generate more taxes? I guess not enough people are smoking pot. Maybe another mandate is warranted. I wonder if any people escaped Sodom&Gomorrah and their ancestors are now politicians?

The vices are the low hanging fruit. You need to look at what will soon be tax evasion like gardening.
