Worries over Amendment 1 raising Illinois taxes – WTVO (Rockford)

“What they don’t look at is how many other people have wages go down to pay those higher wages, and how many jobs don’t get created or get cut in order to go ahead and have a few people get higher wages,” resident and CEO of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce Todd Maisch said. “So, it’s not good across the board. There’s no way.”

It may not mention taxes, but the amendment likes good until the unions put a strangle hold on our ability to fight union contracts through legislation. It does not mention how many other workers there are ( non union ) . This is a bad idea for Illinois tax payers. It will drive workers out of the state. When will citizens in Illinois wake up. Big changes are needed
