Mayor Brandon Johnson is taking his city on a progressive kamikaze course, and Chicago’s Democratic political establishment may be tiring of the spectacle.
But he’s a suffering black man in a racist White society trying to raise a family that has been held down due to White supremacy.

Did any of you mooks really believe he was installed by CTU to fix anything other the CTU contract, and then only to give CTU whatever they want regardless of the cost. And the slaves who call themselves Chicagoans are perfectly fine with CTU running the show.

After what happened on Nov 5th, where or who are the folks who still buy into the myth that there’s somehow a difference between “new machine” CTU/Brandon equity hustlers and are old school “where’s mine” Madigan machine overlords is the BIG question for the “symbolic capitalist” * media types so vested in disparaging those of us STILL trying to produce goods & services, still trying to “enjoy the fruits of our labors” in a capitalist economy with terms like “the working-class” or “the 1%”? Johnson will break the CTU stranglehold on Chicago, though by his own political ineptness and inability to govern responsibly. Chicago is being destroyed. The 60% of Chicago voters who aren’t employed by City of Chicago agencies are disgusted by Johnson’s CTU patronage priorities. The 40% of Chicagoans employed by Chicago, its agencies, or Cook County, may not remain meek and compliant in next election cycle. Most Chicago voters know that CTU teachers are well-compensated, at top of US teacher pay-scales, and that many CPS schools operate near-empty or certainly well-below official capacity, and that deep budget cuts are needed overall.… Read more »

With no recall provisions for these inept, corrupt, officials, cities like Chicago will experience more pain, until they hit rock bottom. What does that look like? Baltimore, Detroit.
Baltimore, Detroit….no, it will be worse because the hole will be so deeeeep!

Who knows what this lunatic is thinking or why he does what he does. His refusal to act fiscally responsible will paint JB into an ever shrinking corner, and with that ego JB is toting around, it should make for interesting viewing. JB just doesn’t like anyone telling him what to do, but Brando seems willing to take Chicago over the falls. Both Chicago and Illinois are going to be running billion dollar shortfalls going forward, and Trump will relish it. This isn’t going to make anyone want to move to Illinois.
BJ is incompetent and massively racist but he isn’t a lunatic and his goals are plain and simple: To grab and steal as much cash as possible for his parasitic masters at CTU. There is no tax too high, no bond interest rate too high for these grifters because they plan to hand the bill to the taxpayers and run off with their stolen loot. Piles of money to the vermin of CTU is the goal. Period. If Illinois or Chicago become financially insolvent, so what? They start the graft and theft all over again.
He’s stealing for himself too. We just funded his trip to London to watch a Bears game and we pay for the mayor’s entourage.

The positive with this CTU/BJ cash grab clownshow is that the inherent unconstitutional evil of Public Sector Unions is being exposed Nationwide to all. Soon they will be illegal and taxpayers will be free of this tyranny. Of course Democrat/Public Sector union criminal collusion is the heart of this symbiotic relationship and Democrats will fight frantically for their sugar daddy funding but ultimately Public Sector Unions will be gone.
That’s true of all the malfeasance in Illinois government. We are lesson to the rest of the nation (which is one reason why so many Wirepoints readers are from other states).
For many out of state Wirepoints readers its like watching a train wreck. I often tell out of state colleagues and friends regarding Illinois shenanigans, criminality and malfeasance: “you just can’t make this stuff up.”

With 80% of the tax levy going to pensions it isn’t to hard to see where a major problem lies. However, as an example, Johnson has decided to continue on the City’s sanctuary status for the illegal immigrants. Johnson, and those Alderpersons as well, just can’t quit spending. Its quit spending or hike taxes either way you go and which one will it be? One thing for sure re-electing the same people won’t fix the problem but who wants to bet the same or worse gets elected next go around?

Maybe he, like Joe, just wants out and would love to go without giving the impression that he quit.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
