Judge Virginia Kendall, a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, found the Illinois Bankers Association “demonstrated likelihood of success” in their arguments as the case moves forward that the state cannot impose the law on nationally chartered banks or federal savings association. She did not, however, include credit card companies or banks chartered in Illinois. That means, as of right now, the state can enforce the law on those institutions starting next July.
Overreaching with application of laws seems to be the defining feature of the arrogance of Springfield. They just do whatever they want, they don’t care if their law is legally dubious or unconstitutional, they pass it anyways. It’s the hallmark of an authoritarian regime.

Bidet does it all the time and it’s up to the Supreme Court to call him out on it. Think student loans….
On another note. Will Lyft do the same in Chicago and sue like in San Fran for over taxation . The taxes in Chicago on everything is ridiculous.
