Cook County recently approved a plan that allocates $15 million from the county’s nearly $10 billion budget for a program to aid seniors and others struggling with the rising costs of rising property taxes. “We have to look at ways that all levels of government participate in chipping in to make sure we meet the needs of all the struggling taxpayers. Cook County has their plan and we're working also on something in Illinois," state Rep. La Shawn Ford said.
I’ll go way out on a limb here to say this program won’t benefit most of the Cook County middle-income taxpayers. After all, only lower-income residents struggle with huge property taxes, right? Furthermore, I wonder who will make up for the tax revenue loss resulting from property tax assistance to those struggling. Never mind; I just remembered.

How about expanding a property tax assistance program to all counties in Illinois La Shawn not just POC
That’s not the way it works in a state where people are getting guaranteed income, free utilities courtesy of those that pay their bills and all the other “ equitable “ perks.
