Good article, but short of the state declaring bankruptcy I don’t see how either Rauner or JB can fix the unfunded pension liability. I know exactly how JB wants to, but that will drive what businesses haven’t left the state, out of the state. Caterpillar is a half hour drive to O’Hare, where they could load the whole company on a couple of planes and fly to Texas. I found it extremely interesting they chose to rent, rather than buy when they relocated.
