How about a “shared” solution? The pension costs are reduced, and the teachers start actually paying more for their cadillac health care, while the money the state saves goes to where it should be spent – facilities and technology for kids. Teachers complain about the water but won’t find a way to share in the solution. Taking it from taxpayers has to stop when I am paying for their full ride in retirement yet my kids can’t get into school. Unfortunately, this will never happen in Illinois. Next option?
