No surprise that Illinois’ Tier 2 pension law being challenged in court given how it was passed – Wirepoints Quickpoint
The law was bulldozed through in 2010 by House Speaker Michael Madigan and Senate President John Cullerton in less than 12 hours with no analysis, debate or actuarial assessment.

With the person at the helm are we surprised?
NO
In a democratic republic, people get the leadership they deserve.
The most idiotic, arbitrary rules. Please show me the science and data that specifically show beaches and playgrounds are high risk areas but grocery stores and wal-marts are not? Even bars and restaurants are opening up this weekend. You know what really drives it – the mayor knows that once she gives the green light for beaches, there will be a rush of chicagoans that go because there is pent-up demand. She simply doesn’t want the optics of a photo-op of crowded Chicago beaches. Shame on her.
Closing bars, beaches, pools, parks and playgrounds are the best advertisement to move to the suburbs. It’s also basically telling people to go into the streets and start shooting each other, because there is little else to do and nowhere else to go. Lori can’t help but destroy what’s left of Chicago.
Seems quite obvious that’s the goal. She also believes she will run the NWO emergence of a remade “smart city,” good luck with that.
In reality all she’ll have left are the gangbangers who want to live the thug life.
