I’m convinced Democrat Socialism/Thugism only leads to Bankruptcy. Venezuela is another example of the power of Socialism/Thugism. Democrats = Bankruptcy by definition if left unchecked and unchallenged. New York City had Republican Mayors for quite a while limiting the damage.

Mark, do you think Amazon might be better positioned than most companies to withstand the fiscal fire that is certainly coming to Chicago in the next decade? I think about how much volume they must be doing in Chicago alone, based my household’s use of Prime. They have massively expanded their presence here already. While I am not a detailed follower of their finances, and I am sympathetic to the comments Detroiters are making, I wonder if Amazon will simply decide that their business in Chicago is too good to ignore. No need to go outside the Midwest. There are other large cities that could accommodate amazon like Indianapolis.

A set of state lawmakers want to extend CPS’ current school closing moratorium to February 1, 2027 – the same year CPS is set to transition to a fully-elected school board.
