I hope the federal funding gets a direct hit to this municipality. How can they pass this without addressing the costs involved to the tax payer? Let alone what they will do if and when the federal funding gets cut. What do the police think? Who are they supposed to listen to- the federal government or the Evanston Government?

Be kind to the people of Evanston and other like-minded communities. They exhibit the same lack of reason and adherence to imposed standards as one would find in a totalitarian regime like N. Korea or Cuba. They’ve been indoctrinated for so long that they have lost the ability to think outside their little box. There is no cure. Luckily, Northwestern Univ will not give in to Evanston’s increasing need for property tax dollars, so the regime probably will collapse at some point.
