Illinois education officials keep trying to hide their failures behind excuse of “higher test standards” – Wirepoints
Illinois’ dismal education numbers – especially for minority students – are embarrassing to politicians and officials. But rather than admit there’s a problem with Illinois’ education system, they attack the state’s own standards for being “too high,” instead.
As an employer I’ll give an 18 to 22 year old a job having no experience at the current minimum wage. But at 15 dollars that job is going to a 30 year old with experience, I’ll hold out for that applicant instead. Anyway I don’t buy the notion that “jobs stop bullets” or are the root cause of youth crime at all. Only a person’s upbringing causes that. Properly raised boys stops bullets.
