Illinois was in financial trouble way before the lockdown mess. To allow Pritzker, Madigan et al a pass blaming it on a virus is beyond my ability to fathom.

What makes us think that the Covid restrictions were damaging? I say they need to demand more restrictions on Chicago and make sure they keep the entire city in lockdown for an additional 24 months. They cannot reopen, gramma will die! They must crush the virus. Nancy Pelosi said it was “Whiteness” that was causing this evil intent to reopen economies and kill people with Covid. She is correct. Mark there is a third option on Pensions.

Illinois could reduce services which is the current plan.
