More guaranteed income pilots launch as Chicago wraps enrollment for ‘Resilient Communities’ program – Chicago Sun-Times*

Harish Patel, director of the advocacy group Economic Security for Illinois, said county officials already are looking into making the program permanent, and he would like other agencies to do the same.

Of course. I would like a tree that grows billions of dollars.

But the IL/Chicago political class and their pals, the public unions, have spent us into penury. We have nothing for give aways—we cant even handle basic services like police protection.

BUT, as a sanctuary city, Chicago finds the resources to bus migrants to the suburbs. Who’s picking up the tab on the Elk Grove Village and Burr Ridge accommodations provided to ILLEGALS? I’ll bet there are a lot of homeless LEGAL Americans, many of whom have served our country, who wouldn’t object to a nice CTA bus ride to the ‘burbs, meals, and medical care. Why do we treat people who have broken our immigration law so well, yet overlook homeless who once contributed to our society? Seems ill-conceived to me, but, then again, I don’t depend on elections.
