“Nobody is winning; everybody is losing” Wirepoints testifies before the House Committee on Cities and Villages – Video

Mark Glennon and Ted Dabrowski joined Rep. Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton) on May 8th, 2018 to testify in front of the Cities and Villages Committee of the Illinois House of Representatives.

They talked about the state’s garnishment of Harvey and North Chicago’s revenues, the chances of revenue intercepts spreading to cities across Illinois, and the negative impact the downstate pension crisis has on city budgets and peoples’ lives.

great job-mark, ted & j ives. what is the rep rileys deal who ask all the questions?- blame the train wreck on the past-ok. but then what? no solution. he seemed to have no sympathy for home owner residence.

So the May 8th testimony at the State House’s Cities and Villages committee was regarding HB 5644.

As a subject matter hearing, it was on the concept, and not the particulars of any bill.

The gentleman at the beginning of the video said it was regarding HB 5644, House Committee Amendment number one.

“We are not in good shape” Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski told ABC 20 Champaign during a segment on Illinois’ latest population losses. Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”
