So rather than focus on students assimilating to American culture, attention is shifted to American teachers and administrators assimilating to the myriad of cultures in their classroom and school. And the ISBE created standards for how the teachers, administrators, and support personnel should do that. And ISBE did so in conjunction with the non profit CCSSO. So the local school board loses some control, and the State gains a lot of control. The Central Planners have a diversity plan for your child’s education. Illinois will be the first in the nation to implement DLRT education standards. DLRT is the generic… Read more »

In the state’s defense most teachers are already woke and Communist. They are only being commanded to promote what they were already promoting.

Who cares if they are math illiterate as long as they know the fake history of perverts and blacks.

Talk to teachers and administrators. They already have enough on their plate. Every year there are new unfunded mandates from the state to local school districts and this is yet another one. The management alliance (IASB, etc.) lobbyist complains every year about unfunded mandates. Illinois is the DLRT / “Culturally responsive teaching and leading standards” aka Woke Learning Standards guineau pig for the entire nation! “Illinois is one of 10 states taking part in that initiative, and it would be the first state to adopt new standards developed through the network, Matthews said. The proposed standards were first published in the Illinois Register on Sept. 11, opening up a 45-day public comment period that expired Oct. 25. The state board is scheduled to act on them at its Dec. 16 meeting.” More info on the proposed changes to Illinois teacher, administrator, and esp preparation… Read more »

And remember there are two categories that will be subject to the Illinois Woke Learning Standards.

1 – Colleges and universities and anyone else “educating” future and current administrators, teachers, and support personnel.

2 – Private and public preschools, elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools.

A statewide concern: Illinois’ population decline outpaces neighboring states – Wirepoints on ABC20 Champaign

“We are not in good shape” Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski told ABC 20 Champaign during a segment on Illinois’ latest population losses. Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”
