A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
The schools, including its unions, are always looking to save money. Beyond the obvious have-job-have-money, they aren’t able to look at the schools independently from themselves. To save money (for themselves) their proposed solutions are to take low standards that have been that way over many years, and come-up with answers that set the bar lower for some things that haven’t been lowered or raked-over lately. Sound education, in effect, is treated like a trivial matter.
IL Democrats need to start putting students and education first, above political teachers unions. Unions only care about teachers, not students and education.
Illinois educational hierarchy: Teachers First, Teachers Second, Teachers Third…..Children, last.
