More precisely, Susana Mendoza is a career Chicago Cook County Democrat who continued working for the City of Chicago while she was also employed as a State Representative. She took a pay cut after elected as City Clerk of Chicago because she no longer held two jobs, per Open the Books records.
At least she agrees that the lawmakers shouldn’t be paid ahead of anyone else.
