More than 20 states across the country have delivered tax relief to their residents over the last three years. That includes every one of Illinois’ neighbors, which have made permanent cuts to their income tax rates. Meanwhile, Illinois continues to go in the opposite direction. The state just hiked taxes again, this time by nearly $1 billion.
