From a lawyer in Connecticut who questioned Vallas about his residency: Vallas “did not make his case clear enough in court. He noted that when questioned on the stand about his certification, Vallas first stated he lived in Bridgeport and then said he had a residence here, but was registered to vote in his home state.”

Whatever the legalities, remember this will ultimately be decided by political hacks on the Illinois Supreme Court.
