The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District is looking for a new term for the fertilizer product currently known as “biosolids;” and, since this is 2016, they’re crowdsourcing to find the perfect handle and garner publicity.

A good name for it would be “Chicago Police and Fire Pension Reports” since they are the same thing, crap.

Actually Milwaukee has been selling its fertilizer for over 90 years, milorganite, I used to use it when I worked at park districts and golf courses in college. So it’s taken Chicanos water reclamation dept 90 years to finally realize that sludge can be sold to offset costs. It’s a very low potency fertilizer, but that actually makes it great for golf courses where you need to do constant applications all summer, or ball fields, etc.
