Worker at Springfield Arena Where Illinois Legislative Session Held Tests Positive for Coronavirus – NBC5 (Chicago)

The memo from House Speaker Michael Madigan’s chief of staff encourages legislators and staffers to be tested for coronavirus and to continue to monitor their health in the coming days. All participants in the legislative session had already been asked to self-isolate for 14 days after the conclusion of the proceedings.

It’s more likely that this worker would catch stupidity, dishonesty and corruption from the legislators than the legislators catch covid from the worker

“We are not in good shape” Wirepoints’ Ted Dabrowski told ABC 20 Champaign during a segment on Illinois’ latest population losses. Illinois was one of just three states to shrink in the 2010-2020 period and has lost another 300,000 people since then. Ted says things need to change. “It’s too expensive to live here, there aren’t enough good jobs and nobody trusts the government anymore. There’s just other places to go where you can be more satisfied.”
