“Wirepoints is a fan-favorite among WVON listeners” – Wirepoints on WVON

Ted joined Perri Small of WVON for a discussion on Gov. Pritzker’s inability to tell the truth about Chicago’s rising crime, including violent crime, the actions of Kim Foxx and the need for Chicagoans to consider a better prosecutor, why the entire Chicago criminal justice system needs to clean house and more.

Naturally Pritzker will not address the crime situation in Illinois. It is not that he personally is unable but rather his desire for higher public office makes it a necessity to hide the real facts that there are problems that he is not addressing and solving. Pritzker’s goal is to have Illinois’ portrayed as a modern crime free liberal utopia and by being realistic on crime just ain’t gonna happen.

Are you kidding! I’ve been a long-time listener of WVON, they RARELY talk about crime in Chicago. The station is a Communist propaganda outlet for their brain-washed audience. The way that station spoke of Dr. Ben Carson during 2015 primaries was absolutely sickening, and Perri Small was leading the charge. I frequently recommend the channel to Conservatives to show just how hopeless the situation in Chicago is. Disgusting.

Agreed, Fullbladder, the level of sheer and maddening ignorance I heard in this short broadcast I’d describe as “gob – smacking”, e.g. “…our community loves Kim Foxx… why don’t the police just do their jobs… too many innocent blacks in jail… why can’t they arrest more people…” I’ve *zero* sympathy for this “community”. Kudos, though, to Ted for at least going on this show…

They’re coming around! Give them a chance. A major driver for political action is a dramatic simplification of important issues. Complexities inhibit mass action! Corruption is now right in your face and everyone has a front row seat. Trust me, they’ll come around.

Ted, great job! Now we need to convince Dan and Amy to be less pessimistic.

There is no “coming around” when the ship is sinking due to hitting too many icebergs (self-inflicted wounds) in addition to being torpedoed from the coming financial calamity that will eventually happen in Illinois and Chicago. Nothing is going to stop that from happening. Time to get that lifeboat ready before bedlam ensues. It’s American as apple pie to be a pioneer and leave for new beginnings. It’s in our DNA as Americans, some battles cannot be won, and living to regroup and fight another day is the key thing. Chicago is done and so is Illinois. Everyone knows it,… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
