A Black woman with long, dark and curly hair and wearing a blue suit speaks from behind a podium and in front of a crowd. The teachers union is supportive of taxing the rich to fund public services, including transit. Asking more money while lowering standards more and more. What a plan.

More money and less education are Stacey Gates motto.

They want the money to donate to political campaigns, not the kids. Pay them so they can pay the unions. More of the same.

Maybe she would ask for teachers to do their jobs and teach language arts, math, science, history and civics? Hold teachers accountable for low student test scores as opposed to blaming everyone else for their poor job performance. Teachers blame parents, but remember , they taught the parents and the parents can’t read. Money won’t fix this problem with education. Somewhere quality has to be considered. Private and magnet schools have better student outcomes . Maybe Gates should look at these schools to understand why CPS and CTU have failed public education.

Spending $21,000.00 per student and look at the results. Does more money mean lower test scores ??? Eliminate indoctrination and go back to teaching reading , writing and math.

It is appropriate that the picture of this grifter is shown with her hands out…that’s a perpetual state. It will never be enough. Never. It is a bottomless pit. There is no end. There is no winning. It is just pay more. There is no measurement of performance vs. value. Public Education may be the worst value ever considering results vs. cost. Pathetic. They are forever begging for more money and showing worse and worse results. Time to say NO and don’t come back.

Isn’t Illinois Fun?

Sell the “recording studio” with a pool in NM and put the proceeds into a school. Then, allow school closures for schools made obsolete by low attendance and apply the funds to improve other schools. Stop the perpetual insane financial demands so funds can get to “the kids”. Eliminate the bloated administrative bureaucracy jobs program. Rid the union of child abusers. Just some helpful suggestions.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
