Daley and LaHood tried to tackle the gerrymandering but are backing out because the timing isn’t right, according to their intuition. This is exactly why Illinois will continue to slide in obscurity and financial abyss. Elected leaders know that voting districts look like they were made by someone on acid, but yet there is always an excuse not to change them.

Why should Democrats give Republicans in Illinois any seats at all? This is what pure power looks like. It’s what every Trifecta state should be doing, including Republican states, who should be ICEing out all Democrat seats, forever.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
