Chicago residents are already getting reparations. They’re called Medicaid, SNAP, and guaranteed income. Reparations should be forcing CPS to provide quality education to prepare students to function in the real world. Is he asking for reparations from the Catholic Church? Church owes a lot of reparations starting with treatment of Jews and “heretics” during Inquisition, treatment of natives in all the Americas, abuse in orphanages, as well as slavery. While there have been some reparations in Cook County, can’t see much more in IL or nationwide. What exactly does he want besides getting an acknowledgment that Church supported slavery in South?
