Among the consequences of economic growth that badly lags national averages are billions of lost revenue every year. Yet denial reigns in Illinois, fueling the vicious cycle of demand for higher taxes.
Do we have police in this town? Does city government even stand for law and order. We can’t–or won’t– control a bunch of teenagers and loser twenty somethings from taking over major intersections in this city. It’s not all that tough an assignment to stop this from happening. Look at past events– we have almost zero arrests and practically zero convictions. The City and the cops are not doing their jobs and it is laughable that we have to study the problem when the solution is so obvious.
Are they frustrated enough to stop voting for the scum they continually elect? I didn’t think so.
But, if you park in a tow zone downtown, expect to get towed in minutes. Start to ticket/tow as many of these cars as possible- guaranteed that a $500 bill will be a deterrent.
I would suggest a brutal response. When these events occur, block all exits with garbage trucks, dump trucks, etc. Impound all participants vehicles. Then crush them. When these delinquents see their investments turn into scrap, word will get around and this activity will stop.
Thats something many of us including me would like see happen, unfortunately under the law there is a provision called “the innocent owner” which protects the rights (ownership) of a vehicle is the title is held by a 3rd party holding the loan. Seizure of a vehicle when the title is held by a bank, credit union, loan company etc and then crushing it punishes the lien holder whose only action would be a civil suit against the user/abuser who probably could care less about a civil action or bad credit rating. Meanwhile in LA, a similar incident resulted in many arrests and 200 impounded autos. Hmm..
Johnson said “they will stop themselves when they have a bad accident.” Gun control and gang intervention hasn’t worked too well for Chicago either, but maybe he hasn’t noticed.
Johnson has not noticed because he has the mental capacity of a common garden slug.

You can’t vote it out of office either. Remember he replaced Lori Lightfoot who replaced Rahm Emanuel.
Maybe they should open soldiers field for cops free gang shot outs, that will stop a lot of them.
No consequences equals more problems. Say thank you to the democrats for abandoning law abiding citizens, handcuffing law enforcement, reducing sentences and embracing criminals.
