Wirepoints’ Mark Glennon on AM560: Why We Need to “Relentlessly” Make the Blue State-Red State Case
Glennon raised the stakes of the moment in broader civilizational terms: “This election in Illinois is not about the usual pedestrian issues… it’s about nothing less than whether Western civilization survives in our democratic republic of America because [the left], just on the open border alone, will destroy the country, and now they’re bringing in the jihadists, frankly, into the party.” Audio and summary linked here.Audio and summary linked here.
New Trier High School made national headlines nine years ago as a “canary in a coal mine” for political indoctrination in public schools. The canaries lived.
Among the consequences of economic growth that badly lags national averages are billions of lost revenue every year. Yet denial reigns in Illinois, fueling the vicious cycle of demand for higher taxes.
“The Chicago Teachers Union is publicly urging financier Michael Sacks, who chaired Chicago’s Democratic National Convention host committee in 2024, to keep his wallet out of the race.”?
Bet you dollars to doughnuts that Gates would Never say that to Pritzker if he decided to get “involved” like he did in the US Senate Primary when he basically financed Stratton’s campaign. :-/
Keep his wallet out of the race, Stacy wins the hypocritical statement of the year award.
At the very least, give Gates a migraine and make her spend millions of her minions dollars trying to get things her way. Getting rid of her and her fellow Marxists will be another matter entirely.
An actual chance to break the CTU stranglehold. Imagine if the union is in the minority on the board. Elect non affiliated concerned parents to the board instead of paid for politicians. The unions only recourse is calling their opponents MAGA Trumpers.
Wally, I am one of those non affiliated parents running for a seat and I’m coming up against the billionaires. Unfortunately, everyday concerned citizens like myself are having to fight tooth and nail just to get onto the ballot for the chance to be voted in
If people want non affiliated board members you will have good chance. We will find out after the election. Good luck!
You never lose an opportunity to shout about your confidence in the security of the strait jacket public unions have constructed to strangle the taxpayers.
It’s a really clever approach, blaming the minions for their own captivity.
Keep remaining a victim PP. That’s your go to move.
It’s a real dynamic duo.
You constantly tell us how indestructible the system is, so we better just get used to it. Meanwhile, the teachers on here whine about how they can’t possibly do anything about education.
The best of both worlds. The victims who can’t be beat. Has there ever been a more perfect union?
I only tell you to get used to it if people don’t vote differently. I’ve never state the system is indestructible. The system can be changed but it needs voters that want change. Currently, the voters seem quite happy with the status quo. You struggle with the concept of other voters wanting something different than yourself. You’re a victim because you claim you can’t do anything about it. You refuse to build a coalition of voters that will bring in change and you refuse to move to a better location. Basically, curling up in a ball and crying and whining… Read more »
You have an interesting perspective.
The retailer should accept that he will be robbed if he doesn’t lock up everything in cabinets and doesn’t move to a new location. He is just playing the victim if he says the neighborhood residents should not be able to steal from him.
And demanding more money in your own pocket without taking any responsibility for results is known as “problem solving”.
What a strange world you inhabit. Unfortunately, you are able to impose your distortions of reality on everyone.
Again, your victim mindset is so strong you can’t even recognize it. It’s just so ingrained in you. “The retailer should accept that he will be robbed if he doesn’t lock up everything in cabinets and doesn’t move to a new location. He is just playing the victim if he says the neighborhood residents should not be able to steal from him.” Where did I say you just have to accept it? Using your example, what would a retailer do if too many customers are stealing from them? Let’s see, many stores have tried locking things up and making customers… Read more »
It really bothers you when I point out that what the Democrats and their supporters have done is wrong, doesn’t it?
It’s what the majority wants! Just move!
Thanks for the advice.
Doesn’t bother me at all. Illinois Democrats deliver some of the worst policies in the state. Unfortunately that’s what the majority wants so my choice is to tolerate it, try to change it, or move. The same decisions that you can make. You just hate it when people point out that you are in control of your own destination and instead prefer to live in a perpetual victim state. Very sad and pathetic.
It sounds like the billionaire is on your side. He is trying to elect parents not affiliated with the union. Of course, you could also consider the CTU and all its union allies and politicians as billionaires, too, that are definitely working against you.
If you could actually get the city newspapers to print all the independents names it would help at the polls. Unfortunately it will get back to Gates and our chicken shit newspapers are afraid of her
