Most Unions today take a percentage of the union workers hourly wage like 2 or 3 percent this way there’s no need to continually ask members to raise dues every raise the dues go up CTU must be the same thing so CTU must have been asking for a Hefty Raise
“The month-long window for CTU members to opt out of the union opens in August.” The article does not tell us what percentage of teachers have already, in prior years, opted out of the Union, and how they were treated.
Some law firm should start a service that provides teachers legal protection if sued, this is the only reason most stay in the union. There’s a fortune to be made.
Teachers Unions are strongest in several blue states. Many other states teachers unions, its members fed up with left wing politics and Marxist ideology, are jumping ship left and right. Would that we have teachers whose first priority is education, not illegals rights, trans rights, reparations, etc.
This whole situation reminds me of the book Animal Farm. Where all are equal,yet some more equal than others
