Chicago Housing Authority appoints Keith Pettigrew as new CEO – Chicago Sun-Times

The agency has been without a CEO for 16 months, and its vote also marks a win for the board over Mayor Brandon Johnson, who pushed for the appointment of retired Ald. Walter Burnett. The mayor’s office said it’s “reviewing the resolution passed today by the CHA Board. There were a number of irregularities in the lead-up to the vote which require further evaluation.”

So happy they finally got a CEO selected….gosh, I have been on the edge of my seat for months! I am sure the world will change with this selection and I am sure retired Ald. Walter Burnett (who will now get wealthy on the exorbitant government salary he will undoubtably get) will follow the directives of the Mayors office. Those directives I am sure, will be to Stand Up, Fight, Focus on Working Families, defund ICE, Hate Trump and make sure you hire only Black folk (as he says).
