Wow, a whole month of training! These CARE workers, so full of compassion and empathy, are bound to be effective. They will probably ride around in their special CARE car eating Dunkin donuts. They might even offer free donuts to the mentally ill or drug-addicted. Evanston residents can now rest easy as their brainless leaders pour money down a drain. After years of living in Chicago, I realize, in a lot of situations, compassion and empathy are liabilities. I’d rather have Clint Eastwood’s Dirty Harry in my neighborhood any day.
