A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
$400M…a week? With about 12M people in Illinois, that’s $33/week/person for every single person in the State of Illinois. I may be looking at this wrong (and please let me know), but doesn’t that sound nuts? Family of 5 would get $165/week or $660/month…but that’s for every person in Illinois. No? Seems like with most programs like this, the numbers never-ever work.
Ironic that the portly governor is trying to be sympathetic to people who can’t buy groceries.
Billionaire Pritzker can’t find money for SNAP but found billions for illegals and is spending millions suing the feds to inhibit ICE.
Or the temporary covid money squandered on permanent, full time, unneeded jobs to shore up America’s Worst Governor’s dismal employment numbers.
