He doesn’t need to confiscate tax dollars as residents willingly pay the state. The Illinois voters elected him twice to represent them and they trust his spending otherwise he wouldn’t have been re-elected. Those that didn’t vote for JB continue to live in Illinois and by staying support the current and future taxes that JB supports.
You eat food in a restaurant you must pay. You live in Illinois, you must pay. The choice is yours and you’ve decided that the current taxes and even potential taxes aren’t bad enough to cause you to move.
That’s working out quite well in Seattle and NYC, isn’t it Mr./Mrs./Ms. state retiree?
Residents don’t willingly pay JB the Hutt’s henchmen. The Hutt’s taxes are not voluntary, except to the political animal scofflaws you defend so vigorously..
YOU choose to pay. YOU must enjoy Illinois (or at least don’t mind) enough to continue to VOLUNTARILY pay these taxes when YOU could move to another state.
