Mayor Lori Lightfoot has released only three previously confidential inspector general reports: one on the Chicago Police Department’s cover-up of Laquan McDonald’s murder; another on an investigation into the death of two city police officers; and a third on the death of David Koschman. All three incidents occurred long before Lightfoot became mayor.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
