It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”

Masks are the clearest indication that the danger levels are as high as ever. No masks is the clearest indication that there is nothing to fear. So basically they want things open for the revenue but retain all indicators that the pandemic is as bad as ever. They cant have it both ways without a police state.

Wirepoints has one of the most well informed audiences online and certainly more informed than any left wing news outlet. Go to the comments on those left wing sites and you’ll see a shockingly high proportion of people in the comments calling for violence against republicans and conservatives.
I’ll pass – as have many others already – at least in Southern Illinois.
