The state is a self-licking ice cream cone. It raises taxes to hire more new state employees. And then taxes the state employees to hire more new state employees, ad infinitum

There is no amount of taxation that will ever satisfy the bottomless greed of Democrats.

Florida sounds peachy on that map in linked article but when you factor in 8-10K a year for homeowners insurance all of a sudden the grass isn’t greener on the other side.

This state’s elected leaders are pigs at a trough. I work to make my life better for my family. I am not here to serve and fund the teachers pensions for an education that is an afterthought to them.

Consider da Dems pols in Illinois and Sheeetcago and their masters da public sector unions like a Black Hole.

How do you stop da Black Hole from sucking in more and more of your wealth via higher and higher taxes.

Get as far away as you can from it.

Illinoisans, vote with your feet and flee da Illinois Black Hole!

Someone has to pay for the ever loyal Democrat Party voters’ rewards—the teachers, the local government employees, the governmental retirees. These groups vote in every election. Given their wage levels, their benefit plans including pension, they don’t mind paying more in taxes as they can afford them. Perhaps if more people who don’t participate in the rewards system voted, things would change. Until then, pay or move.
