The answer is that he wouldn’t work with Chicago. A supermajority legislature and supreme court would simply ICE him out and override all his vetoes. It would be as if the constitutional position of governor doesn’t exist. Harmon would become the most powerful politician in the state.

This is exactly what President Trump is doing. Making the rats come out of the dark and shine the light on who they really are. It’s a slow and painful process that needs to happen. It’s worth a try
