“The fight over schools in Chicago matters to Illinoisans. We all end up paying for Chicago’s crises eventually.” – Ted on WXAN

Ted Dabrowski joined WXAN to talk about the latest walkout by the Chicago Teachers Union. It’s important for all Illinoisans to understand what’s going on in Chicago for two reasons. One, the CTU serves as a powerful example to their local teachers unions. And two, all Illinoisans eventually end up paying for the crises in Chicago.

Meanwhile in today’s Wall Street Journal, there is a story about more and more public pension funds pumping their money into private equity funds chasing larger returns. Given the politically connected fund managers with their fingers in public pension funds statewide. What could possibly go wrong?

The CTU has to suffer a big loss because of this crap. If Lori let’s them off with another “win win” which is always a “lose” for parents, she is toast, kids are still robbed, taxpayers are still robbed, everyone and I mean everyone is literally being extorted here including pols friendly to unions. Extortion so a crime. Nothing will ever change unless this union suffers this time. Lightfoot is the “man” in her lesbian relationship, she needs to prove that and “man up” to these CTU thug extortionosts.

Count on CTU’s demands to veer further from reality until the public finally says no.

Ted joined Dan and Amy to talk about a new law passed by the Democratic supermajority and signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker that results in brazen election interference, keeping Republicans off ballots; about a referendum that tests the waters for a renewed progressive income tax hike; about how the Parental Notification referendum question was knocked off the ballot; and why laws like that pass so easily.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
