Don Tracy, US Senate candidate from Illinois: "Memphis said yes to federal help. Chicago said no. The results tell you everything you need to know about what happens when politics overrides public safety."
Everything is politics and about controlling the money spigot. Cruel outcomes from political decisions mount up in a desperate effort to cling to power. Dan Proft played a ludicrous exchange between a WTTW reporter and Mayor Johnson about police violence. She was concerned about 8 killed by police, not the 100’s killed by those empowered by the catch and release Democratically controlled City and County.
It’s too bad there’s no real opposition in Illinois.

“A Chicago nonprofit lost $3.7 million in federal funding for violence prevention.”
What’s the name of the nonprofit, and how do they “prevent violence”?
You prevent violence by locking up violent people!

Only 6% of major crimes result in arrests in Chicago. Let that sink in.
I said it before and I’ll say it again–Chicago is a haven for criminals. And Chicago is controlled by a corrupt mayor, gang members, and union thugs.
Chicago is no place to raise a family or to start a business or to own a home. It is just like Ken Griffin says–you can be hopeful again when you leave the crooked city.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
