When Detroit failed, it was a great time to read it’s history and how it wound-up bankrupt. Perusing the photos of the beautiful neighborhoods that once were is absolutely fascinating. You could see Mitt Romney’s childhood home and neighborhood. There are many names you could attach to the destruction, but Coleman Young is all you need to know.

With mayors like Coleman Young and Kwame Kilpatrick, Detroit didn’t have a chance.
With a pro-crime, divisive mayor like Brandon Johnson, Chicago doesn’t have a chance.

I’m not a billionaire but I had a better job offer outside of Taxistan 20+ years ago and once I landed in my new job/home I slowly started to realize. How high the property taxes where in Taxistan, How corrupt the Dems are in Taxistan. King Madigan’s corruption conviction confirmed my beliefs, and How the public sector unions call all the shots in Taxistan and their sense of entitlement was just going to increase over time. By voting with me feet over 20+ years ago my bank account is $200,000+ larger which has helped support sending both of my kids… Read more »

Funny how you should mention Madigan. In all the Dem mud slinging, I don’t hear much mention of how these people seeking reelection enabled the angry little Irishman. Not one of them has called out Harmon either, probably because they would be forced to sit in a chair in the corner and shut up like the one lone Dem that called out their foolishness awhile ago.

Jumbo and the Pinhead are driving the state down, but Madigan…and his cronies (many are still there) caused deep and lasting damage to the state and it’s people. The loony tunes bills that benefited his pals, interests and himself. Then making them law to make it all but impossible to be removed, changed or modified. Diabolical corruption in you face and every democrat who dutifully voted with him should be just as liable. They knew everything Madigan did was self serving and wrong, but went ahead anyway to make sure they all got a piece of the Madigan deals. Illinois… Read more »

At the end of the day, the voters of Illinois repeatedly elected Democrats to Springfield, nearly all of whom, every two years, voted for Madigan to be speaker. Yes, Madigan was corrupt, but every Democrat state rep. also voted for him to run the corrupt system. Illinois’ loyal Democrat voters are simply getting what they deserve, good and hard too.

Voters of Cook County elect democrats. In any national or statewide election Cook County carries the ball. Pritzker has not won more than 10 counties out of 102 statewide as governor. Presidential elections as well. If the democrats win they carry about 10% of the counties but of course Cook is the prize. The voters in Cook County seem to like being abused by the democrats they adore.

Pritzker won 16 counties in 2018 and 14 counties in 2022 so not sure why you are spreading false information. Those 14 counties make up over 70% of the electorate or around 9 million of the 12+ million in the entire state. It doesn’t matter if you win middle of nowhere county downstate if you can’t take the counties that matter.

Counties won doesn’t matter. It’s overall votes across the state that matters. If a candidate can’t figure out that the high population counties matter more then that’s on them and they deserve to lose.

Cook County is a corrupt wasteland controlled by the Dems masters da Illinois public sector unions!!

Glad I voted with my feet over 20+ years ago.

I’ll take much lower taxes, better weather and a more balanced state politically every time!!

Last count, an estimated 47.5 billion, and still counting, of adjustable gross income has left Illinois under Pritzker. Leftist will never learn the concept, that it’s better to get something than nothing at all.

We’ve been told countless times by the shills here there is still plenty more left to tax in IL. The bought and paid for Supremes of IL basically said IL Democrats can just keep raising taxes for they have the authority to confiscate private property. IL Democrats won’t stop till it all craters, they are happy to rule over ashes.
