Decriminalizing prostitution in Illinois proposed – Center Square

Equality Illinois board member and former sex worker Reyna Ortiz said, “Like anyone else going to work, it’s important to be safe and feel protected under the law. The decriminalization of sex work is providing safety for adults who engage in consensual sex."

Prostitution is not a victimless crime as shown time and time again. Prostitution has become de facto legal in California now (after they decriminalized loitering for prostitutes) and all it’s done is attract pimps who traffic minors to older johns. Out in the open, and no one does anything about it. There’s a reason these laws have been on the books for…oh…thousands of years….and but our room temperature low IQ politicians believe that everyone before them has been wrong, and they know better than the rest of the world how to handle these issues.

First IL legalized gambling “for the schools,” then marijuana was legalized, then IL decided to become the abortion capital of the Midwest while simultaneously encouraging children to lie to their parents and mutilate their bodies …now the powers that be want to legalize prostitution.

Every time we think IL can’t sink any lower, we’re proven wrong.

Polygamy is next. Who are you to tell the illegal immigrant from West Africa that can only chain migrate one of his four young wives? That’s racist, colonialist, and doesn’t respect other the dignity of indigenous cultures. If he wants four wives, who are you, with your western hetero-normative ideals of one wife per man.

I figured this was next. If Pritzker can tax it he’ll support it. Legalized pot and expanded gambling demonstrated there’s money to be made from vices.
