1 year in, U.S. Attorney’s Chicago Strike Force catches several dozen illegal gun traffickers – WBBM (Chicago)

John Lausch, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and leader of the strike force, said that with the collaboration of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and other federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, the objective was to curb the supply of illegally trafficked firearms as well as to find potential suspects in violent gun crimes. Thus far, the strike force has been effective in tracking down illegal gun traffickers.
