100 University of Chicago faculty and activists protest lack of ‘Gaza Scholars at Risk’ program – Campus Reform

“The University’s refusal to announce and implement this agreement must be seen against the backdrop of the escalating US-Israeli genocide and scholasticide in Gaza — in which this University administration is materially and ideologically complicit," reads the website of the Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine.

Can you think of anything more useless than a college professor? Maybe but the list is short. The one that comes to mind is a professor of journalism. Why not just put a sign on yourself saying “I’m a true moron.” So many theories about how the world is and so much lack of understanding about the real world. So few really usable ideas and so many really bad ones. So little ability to actually succeed in the “real world” they teach. Since these faculty members are used to working in a violent neighborhood, they should have no problem taking up residence in Gaza to do some teaching. Time for these geniuses to walk the walk.
