One can only imagine if one of these “yutes” took a couple of .38s in the chest from a lawfully armed citizen. There are few penalties for “just funnin’” kids so a less than a wrist slap punishment will follow. These are career criminals in their early stages. Before they are 20 one or more of them will be a murderer.

What’s an 11 year old girl doing out at 11:00 pm? Why isn’t her parent charged with child neglect? They have held the Highland Park shooter’s parent responsible, why not this 11 year old parents?

So sad. These children have been taught this behavior through example. It is all they know and it is normalized in their community. These children need to go to jail for their behavior…but in most cases, jail is better than their home life, so there isn’t much fear there. Not much chance of them going to jail anyway as they are minors (and they know it) and will be released. These are the future armed robbers and thieves of Chicago. Another generation of thugs and criminals. They will meet their match some day…9mm on a dark corner someplace. Just hope… Read more »

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
