1,500 rioters arrested in Chicago; most not facing serious charges – ABC7 (Chicago)

Officials with the state's attorney's office say last weekend the cases of 253 defendants were handed over to their felony review division for possible approval of charges. 184 of those cases-most of them gun charges-were approved and 24 were rejected for an authorization rate they say of 88%.

So Chicago burns to the ground, and Democrat structural and institutional racism is responsible, not the criminals who actually destroyed property. I feel like my world is completely upside down – left is right, right is left, 1 + 1 = 5 and the sky is red not blue.

It’s always racism, guns and now trucks are to blame, not the actual thugs. When I say thugs, it can be anyone of any color, any gender, any whatever at the so called protests.

All colors, races and creeds of thugs were present at these riots. Any ‘peaceful protestor’ who says in the crowd one minute past curfew is immediately transformed into a rioter and looter even if they are not actively engaging in mayhem.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
