The mother of 11-year-old Jayden Perkins, who was fatally stabbed while trying to protect her from a violent attack by her just-paroled ex-boyfriend, released an open letter to Gov. Ted joined Chicago Tonight to discuss the impact the federal government’s Big, Beautiful Bill will have on Medicaid in Illinois. “When you have 25% of your population on something like this, something’s not good in the economy,” Ted told them. “Since Gov. Ted joined Dan Proft to discuss the growing alignment between far-left political agendas in cities like New York and the policies already being enacted in Chicago and Illinois under Mayor Brandon Johnson and Governor J.B. Pritzker. They also talked about the mounting costs of the Chicago Teachers Union contract and the deep crisis the city’s pension funds are in.
