Check out the numbers at HEYJACKASS.COM. 100% of all shootings and homicides in Chicago so far in 2023 only involve POC. So, the problem is?

White supremacy! That’s what the president said, so it must be true, right? He wouldn’t lie to us, would he?

I’m so confused!

POC violence is the elephant in the room, pervading, but ignored. Those who ignore it are no friends to POCs – only their overlords.

In this City, Tree Equity, global warming and transportation justice are all more important than preventing grade schoolers from being shot. The City’s latest bond deal makes it clear that even though their kids cant read or count the change in their pockets, and they have to wear Kevlar vests to walk down the street, Chicagoans need to listen to Greta Thunberg about what our priorities should be. But heck, it’s only $150 million plus interest for 25 years.

They honestly believe that fixing injustices like Tree Equity, global warming and transportation justice along with Healing Houses, all mixed together in an alchemist’s potion, sprinkled liberally in underserved areas, will transform the ghettos into Glencoe. They believe this as an ideological position and it is not based on impericial or objective evidence that their ideas work.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
