Criminals are overjoyed with the DEI police force. Outrunning overweight, trans, SJW police probably has its own special brand of humor. I saw footage of a female officer begging a perp walking away from her to stop at least a dozen times ( she was close to tears) before a real policeman showed up and tackled him ( and his shoplifted swag) . We all saw the perp that walked away laughing from four female officers that tried unsuccessfully to cuff him. Two were getting thrown around, one was on her phone and another stood by frozen with fear.

The purpose of the DEI police force isn’t readily apparent yet in America but is completely visible in the UK. The DEI police exists to enforce political correctness and punish conservatives. Promotions to detective, sergeant and lieutenant results in about 70 new cops that will be assigned to districts. At best 1 new officer per watch, per district. There are multiple reports of a summertime retirement binge, bigger than ever seen, perhaps hundreds decimating the ranks of experienced officers. Bad situation, going to get worse.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
