Also, Kinz is making the same mistake so many other Republicans have made: NEVER Try to appease they Democrats. They will be your friend for this issue and then throw you under the bus with your next vote. No D will ever vote for you because you impeached Trump. You’ve gained no respect in the enemies eyes and you’ve angered the very people who voted for you. we don’t vote you into congress to vote your conscience – we vote for you to vote how we want. Kin messed up big time, now he’s unwanted in both parties.

He’s out of his mind if he thinks he has any chance at winning the IL Gov Republican primary. I will vote for anyone except him.

I agree that he has no chance at the primary. The problem is any Trump defender stands zero chance of winning the general election. Illinois Republicans will no doubt slam anyone that isn’t ultra conservative in the primary and then be left wondering why they can’t win the general. After that election they will make statements about how the Democrats won’t implement their reform ideas. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
