Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Fitting end to Chicago’s 2022 ‘Summer of Joy.’
Thank you, Lori Lightfoot, for another memorable Chicago summer.
The summer of Joy; They can’t kill each other fast enough. Where is Herself lurking?
Never Ever under any circumstances vote for a democrat or anyone who looks like democrat.
Actually, Kim will classify that girl as an attempted post birth abortion.
Nothing to see here folks.
More ‘mass shootings’ in Chicago. Why no outcry from Biden, Durbin, Duckworth, Pritzker, and Lightfoot? Why no outcry from the establishment media?
They’re all numb … or is that ‘dumb?’
I’m not exaggerating when I say: This is what equity look likes.
This is black and brown communities resolving their disputes outside of the systemically racist criminal justice system. There’s no need to go to court, or the police, to solve issues between people. They can just shoot at each other. And if innocent children die in the crossfire, well, that’s a life they are worth sacrificing for equity. It’s better to have innocent children get shot than to have black and brown people interact with the racist criminal justice system that incarcerates disproportionately black and brown people.
