Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Weather kept the shootings down this holiday weekend, though I would expect Brandon to take credit for the drop in shootings/fatalities.
Only going to get worse. No Education, No Jobs, crime is the only opportunity.
I don’t understand why gang bangers aim is so terrible. 32 shot but only 3 fatalities? How many hundreds if not thousands of rounds were fired? Do they not do target practice in some abandoned field? Do they not spend $100 on BB guns and plink bottles and cans in abandoned homes? I don’t get it. Ammo is really expensive these days, it’s over $1 a bullet for some common calibers. You’d think if you were trying to kill a rival, you’d take good aim, a few choice shots, and get out of there quickly.
Silly teens doing silly things. Nothing to see here, move along.
